Received and transmitted media data, such as audio, video, or fax data, information about the parties involved, as well as call setup and teardown timestamps, are forwarded to a recording server that stores and makes this data available.
SIPREC is often used for call recording in customer service. The recordings serve for employee training, improving service quality, and compliance adherence.
