The Fireworks of Innovation Continue: anynode Release 1.16

In our previous community news, we announced our release of anynode version 1.16. Not content merely to sit back afterwards, we set off even more fireworks of innovation! We are proud now to present the following highlights:

  • The new trace analyzer is now one single tool that can be used by everyone working with anynode, from on-site engineers all the way to the core developers. It integrates an overview of all traced sessions, presents a concise and easy to understand picture of the message flow for individual SIP sessions, and also displays an RTP stream view which shows details for combined or individual media flows.
  • Multi-registration with remote peers is now possible. An installation of anynode can now be registered with multiple peers at the same time. For companies with multiple locations, this can be particularly helpful. For each location, a separate registration can be issued to the same carrier, including the respective geo-location. In case of emergency calls, the carrier can dispatch those calls to the correct local emergency responders. Without this feature, precious minutes in an emergency would be wasted; with our new multi-registration feature, your calls will be pointed to the right place.
  • Additional certificate handling improvements. To streamline the use of certificates in scenarios that employ secure signaling (e.g., SIP over TLS), we have now implemented automatic preselection of subject name and subject alternative names; also, all certificate serial numbers are now handled internally without the need for user intervention.

Please, we encourage you to download our new release of anynode and check out our new great features. Feedback is always welcome!
