Next Generation eCall

Automatic forwarding of life-saving vehicle data to the telephony system

With Next Generation eCall in anynode, emergency calls from vehicles become smarter and faster. anynode enables the direct transmission of life-saving vehicle data – the so-called Minimum Set of Data (MSD) – to the control center’s telephony system. This means emergency responders have immediate access to all critical information, such as location, vehicle type, or time of the incident, as soon as the call arrives.

While the classic eCall transmits MSD data over the audio channel using modem tones, Next Generation eCall uses SIP headers. This modern transmission method is not only significantly faster but also more reliable. anynode ensures that these SIP header data are forwarded correctly, guaranteeing that every control center receives the relevant information in the proper format.

Integrating Next Generation eCall with anynode significantly reduces response times during emergencies. Emergency personnel can make faster dispatch decisions because all essential data is already available during call setup. This reduces human error, prevents delays, and sustainably improves the quality of emergency call handling.
